摘　　要：Based on the data extracted from LOB Corpus,the paper aims to make a comparative and contrastic analysis of the lexical and grammatical uses between scientific and imaginative writings.We find scientific writings,containing more nouns and adjectives,require larger vocabulary to be well understood.Based on the data extracted from LOB Corpus, the paper aims to make a comparative and contrastic analysis of the lexical and grammatical uses between scientific and imaginative writings.
