摘  要:意义理论是语言哲学的核心内容。多年来,西方的语言哲学家提出了各种意义理论,如指称论,图画论,观念论,行为论,使用观,情景论,语义论(真值条件论)等等,标志着现代语言哲学的活跃发展。它们各有特点,从不同视角对语言的意义进行了不同的阐释。其中使用观出现稍晚,但影响深远,是一种较为可取的理论。本文集中讨论了由西方卓越的语言哲学家维特根斯坦所倡导的"意义使用观",具体探讨了这一理论的渊源、发展、演化以及对各语言学派的影响,指出了该理论的广泛应用价值。This paper is a survey of the developments of Wittgenstein's "meaning use theory" and its profound significance and widespread applications in many fields.Meaning as the focus research of western philosophy of language has been intensely studied for years,hence many widespread theories of meaning such as referential,ideational,semantic,situational,stimulus-response,and the use theory.The use theory as a different way of looking at language and meaning was established by Ludwig Wittgenstein.His work is in a way a criticism of all the theories of meaning mentioned above.The theory argues that it is the way an expression is used that gives it its meaning,which depends on the whole context of use,the whole language game,the whole "form of life" that the participants share.Wittgenstein's primary contribution is thus to introduce a holistic perspective on meaning.Based on the use theory,some suggestions are finally proposed to solve problems in foreign language learning and teaching.
