摘　　要：讨论了EDGE技术的引入对二代GSM网络、移动运营商的影响以及3G后期EDGE网络的作用。并对EDGE在推进三网融合进程方面及LTE模式、4G网络的发展进行了探讨。This paper discusses the effect of the introduction of EDGE technology on the second generation GSM network and mobile operators the role of EDGE in the later 3G.It also analyzes the EDGE network＇s role in the triple play,LTE model and the development of 4G networks.
