摘　　要：目的：从专业素质、编辑业务、思想方法和世界观等方面分3个层次论述了对科技期刊编辑所具备的知识能力的要求,进而就这些知识能力的内涵及对办好科技期刊的重要性进行了论述.提出一个优秀的科技期刊编辑必须具备这3个层次的知识能力,这是办出高水平和影响力的科技期刊的重要保证.Objective： The requirements for the knowledge capacity of the editors for scientific and technological periodicals were expounded at the three levels including professionalism, editing procedures, thinking model ,world view, and so on, then the implication of these knowledge capacities and their importance on good scientific and technological periodicals were discussed. The view point was presented that a good editor of scientific and technological periodical must have the knowledge capacity of these three levels ,which is the important guidance for a high-level and high-impact scientific and technological periodical.
