摘 要:尽管一些研究通过可视化技术较好地解决了大数据量信息在相对较小的屏幕上的显示问题,但很少有方法可以给用户提供一种直观灵活可控的交互方式。提出一种允许用户随意指定Focus区域的方法,并设计了一个巧妙的能量模型来保持Focus区域的细节。为了减少Context区域的扭曲,用户可以指定一个Glue区域。通过变形能量的光滑扩散,Focus区域的扭曲被分布到其他区域。大量实验结果证明,所提出的方法能极大地改善可视化效果,帮助用户在较小的屏幕上了解更多信息。Rendering vast amounts of information on the relatively small screens has become increasingly problematic. Various Focus + Context visualization techniques have been proposed to address these problems. While some of these techniques have provided good results with the various visualization techniques, only a few methods can provide an intuitive and flexible interaction manner for visualization. This paper presented a method which allowed the user to specify an arbitrary polygon for the focus area. A well-designed energy model was proposed to preserve the details in the focused area. To reduce the distortion in the context region, a glue area can also be specified by the user. This distributes the distortion in the focused area to the other region by propagating the deformation energy smoothly. A number of experimental results have demonstrated that the proposed method can largely improve the visualization effects and help users understand much more information on small screens.
