摘　　要：关于R&D活动与企业规模的关系之前已做过不少的研究。本文从新的视角重新检验两者之间的关系,通过一个非线性函数研究R&D与企业规模的关系。企业规模变量不是作为一个独立的解释变量,而是作为调节变量。2001—2008年沪深两市上市的制造业公司数据为研究面板数据。研究结果表明,R&D与企业规模呈现一个近似"U型"关系。There have been many previous studies ex- ploring the relationship between R＆D and firm size. This paper sets out to re-examine the relationship model, that a non linear relationship between R＆D and firm size is exam- ined in this study. Firm size is treated in this study as a moderator rather than an independent variable. A total of manufacturing firms, listed on the Chinese Stock Exchange over the period from 2001 to 2008, are taken as the analytical sample. One practical consideration for choosing these particular firms is the relative abundance of data available for the variables for a longitudinal investigation. The estimates suggest that there is an approximating ＂U-type＂ relationship between R＆D and firm size.
