摘 要:As the narrative and the structural center of As I Lay Dying and Light in August respectively, Addie Bundren and Lena Grove are the very typical representatives of Faulknerian women. Besides, either of them is portrayed by William Faulkner from a male perspective as "the Other". Therefore, the comparative study of the 2 women characters aims at using feminist theory and methods of literary criticism to analyze their physical and psychological journey in the perspective of "the Other", and on this basis to reveal Faulkner's gender view.
