摘　　要：1 DBP as a Subspecialty under Paediatrics and Child Health Developmental Paediatrics was established first in the United Kingdomin 1950’s at the Newcomen Clinic at1 DBP as a Subspecialty under Paediatrics and Child Health Developmental Paediatrics was established first in the United Kingdom in 1950＇s at the Newcomen Clinic at Guy＇s Hospital, London （Ronald MaeKeith, Mary Sheridan, Dorothy Egan et al） who initiated the STYCAR series of tests for assessment of children, at the Wolfson Centre at the Institute of Child Health, London （Kenneth Holt） and the Woodside Clinic （JH Barber） in Glasgow, Scotland and gradually developed in Europe and North America with great success. Its main mission is to promote child growth and development and to identify children with developmental deviants and delay via surveillance （screening）, assessment and Rehabilitation.
