摘　　要：本文以中国远程教育工作者在美国进行了为期三周的美国高校考察为背景,对美国远程教育状况、特别是美国南加利福尼亚大学的远程教育的发展与成效作一归纳整理,并侧重在教学资源、支持服务、考试评价等方面展现了其值得借鉴的经验,为我国远程教育的发展提供了反思与启发的思路。This paper gives a brief introduction to American distance education development,exemplified by the successful operation of Southern Californian University,after the authors＇ three-week visit to American universities.It especially describes its teaching resources,support services,examination and evaluation,which give great insights to the distance education in China.
