普拉斯诗中月亮意象映射的认知空间

摘　　要：普拉斯诗歌中的意象通常被视为她自白的表达手段,是她个人情感的流露。本文认为普拉斯的诗歌意象反映了她对自己所处时代女性的问题和社会问题的思考。她诗歌中反复出现的＂月亮＂意象既构成诗歌的物质意象又参与诗歌主体对世界的认知。月亮意象在其诗歌中具有深刻的社会意义,以它为线索分析诗歌,可以使诗人自身以及同时代女性所面临的婚姻、家庭以及其所生活时代的重大社会问题得以彰显。本文通过分析普拉斯在不同时期创作的诗歌中的月亮意象的象征意蕴,探求诗人的认知空间——初谙世事的茫然、回应世界的挣扎、死亡威胁下的焦虑、黑暗生活中的暴力和诗人对女人本位及社会生活的哲思。Imagery in Plath＇s poetry is usually regarded as her way to confess,and allow the overflow of her emotions.This paper points out that imagery in her poetry mirrors her reflections on women and the social problems of her age.The recurrent ＂moon＂ metaphor constitutes the object imagery,and also participates in her cognition of the world.Moon imagery in her poetry indicates a deep social meaning.Through the analysis of moon imagery,serious social problems at that time,such as marital and family problems encountered by the poet and women of her age,can be revealed.By analyzing its symbolic meanings in Plath＇s poems at different periods,this paper aims at exploring the cognitive space of the poet—her perplexity at the early age,her struggle in the ＂echo world＂,her anxiety under the threat of death,the violence in her dark life and her philosophical rumination on women and social life.
