摘　　要：语音和谐是指在音段音位(元音、辅音)和超音段音位(重音、音调等)各方面的协调发音。英语语音同化、省音或增音、连读等音变是为了发音省力和语音流畅而产生的语言现象。作为英语节奏支点的重音对单词前后音节有支撑和平衡作用。英语在发音和构词等方面皆有和谐可循。Phonetic harmony means harmonious pronunciation in segmental phonemes（vowels and consonants） and suprasegmental phonemes（stress,tone,etc）.English phonological changes including assimilation,elision or epenthesis and linking occur for least effort and smooth pronunciation.Stress coordinates all the syllables as the pivot of rhythm.Harmony can be found in English pronunciation and word building.
