摘　　要：以兰州石化职业技术学院专业英语教学为例,从学习重视程度、师资、教材和学生学习兴趣四方面,分析了西北地区高职院校专业英语教学的现状和存在的问题及构成原因,提出了相对应的措施。Taking the ESP（English for Special Purpose） teaching in Lanzhou Petrochemical College of Vocational Technology for example,the essay lists and analyzes on the ESP teaching status and existing problems in four sections： respect accorded by authorities,teaching facilities,textbooks and students＇ interest in the northwest polytechnics,and suggests the respective solutions.
