摘　　要：威廉.福克纳的短篇小说《献给艾米莉的玫瑰》中的玫瑰,被认为是美国文学史上最神秘的一朵。在某种程度上,女主人公艾米莉的悲剧是她自己造成的,是一直斗争于她心中的心理矛盾和思想禁锢所造成的悲剧。正是她的原我、自我和超我的矛盾给她带来了痛苦和忧郁;也正是她的意识与无意识的冲突导致了她悲哀的命运。The rose in William Faulkner＇s A Rose for Emily has been considered as one of the most mysterious rose in American literary history.To a certain extent,Emily＇s tragedy is a tragedy which she makes of herself.It is a tragedy of psychological conflicts and thought fetters of hers,which are always fighting in her heart.It is the contradiction of the id,the ego and the superego that results in Emily＇s pain and depression;it is also the conflict between the conscious and the unconscious that leads Emily to her gloomy fate.
