摘　　要：在中文学术界把西文绝对主义误译为专制主义的现象十分普遍,应该纠正。中西历史是不同文明孕育的结果,有各自独立的演变路径,不能被简单地割裂、误植。西方转型时期的绝对主义政权在君主肆意施政能力和权力体系的生命力等方面均不能与中国传统社会的专制体制相对等。In the academic field in China, it is quite common to translate Absolutism in the wrong way into Despotism. This should raise our awareness. The Oriental and the Western history are the outcome of different civilization, each of which has its own process of evolution, and hence, we cannot simply take one from the East to interpret the other in the West. In this sense, the term of Absolutism by the rulers in the transition periods in governance capacity, the life of power system and the like cannot be equalized to despotic system in the traditional feudal society in China.
