摘 要:元明神仙道化剧通常被学界视为消极虚无之文学,但从文化的角度看,这类戏剧是中国古代作家通过艺术形式去探寻人类更高的生命与生存形态——道教所追求的神仙境界,以此思考人类最终出路的问题。从这一点出发,神仙道化剧并非消极文学,而是古代作家力图引导人们摆脱世俗的束缚,走出生存的困境,以便迈向更高生命阶梯的艺术探索,具有积极的文化意义。Dramas of the immortal Taoists in the Yuan and Ming dynasties have usually been regarded as literature of pessimistic nihilism.However,seen from the cultural perspective,such dramas reflect the ancient Chinese writers' pursuit for higher life forms by artistic means.They tried to pursue immortality and inquire into the ultimate way-out for human.In this sense,immortals dramas are by no means pessimistic;rather,they are the ancient writers' artistic explorations for higher life forms by trying to guide the people to shake off the earthly fetter,walk out of their predictment.Therefore,these dramas have positive cultural significance.
