摘　　要：根据海明威的"冰山原理",基于多模态话语理论,剖析了《桥边的老人》原作的多模态话语,揭示了被战争夺去家园和心爱动物的老人,已心力交瘁,难逃战争死亡魔掌,作品在揭露谴责战争罪恶的同时,彰显了老人和士兵的善良人性,寄寓了对弱小生灵的同情,旨在呼唤和平与人性。On the bases of Hemingway＇s Iceberg Theory and Multimodal Discourse Theory,this paper,through a thorough analysis of the multimodal discourse of Old Man at the Bridge,reveals that the old man at the bridge,deprived of his home and his beloved animals,becomes mentally and physically exhausted and that this short story,while revealing the evils of war,demonstrates the humanity of the two heroes and sympathize with the weak,with the intention of calling for peace and humanity.
