摘  要:针对光束传播法(BPM)应用中有效折射率neff如何获得其准确值的问题,本文给出了3种求解等效折射率的方法,从具有一定应用背景的多模脊形波导求解出发,利用3种方法分别求解了9个模式的等效折射率,并且将结果进行分析比较,给出了各自的应用范围。Nowadays,the beam propagation method(BPM) is applied to analyze the optical elements.Though many kinds of BPMs have been advanced,one of the important parameters n eff still needs a precise method to solve.In this paper,we presented three methods to solve n eff and took a deep research to find their characteristics and application areas.Based on an important application,we analyzed a multi-mode rib waveguide,and solved its 9 modes′ n eff.We got some important results about these three methods through comparing.For example,we point out the important application of finite element analysis in solving the Helmholtz equation in reverse and so on.
