摘　　要：释迦牟尼佛祖同时期的提婆达多,后期因为贪图名闻利养,走上了反对佛祖的道路,并制造了佛教史上危害甚大的僧团分裂事件,给佛教和社会造成了相当的混乱。本文通过对提婆达多事件的剖解,分析附佛外道的特征和本质。Devadatta was contemporary with Shakyamuni Buddha,but later indulged in fame,gains and comfort,and opposes the Buddhism.He did great harm to the Buddhism by splitting Buddhist clergy and caused much confusion to Buddhism and society.This article reviews the Devadatta event and analyzes the feature and the nature of chanting Buddha and seeking evil.
