摘 要:19世纪以来,随着天主教在中国的发展,兴办教育成为其传教工作的主要切入点之一。教会开办的各种层次的学校开启了中国现代教育之门,也使中国原有的传统教育方式、制度受到了西方教育理念的影响与冲击。以民国时期沪宁杭地区教会的中小学校为考察对象,研究当时教会学校的音乐教育开展情况,对客观评价其历史作用有着较积极的意义。Given the development of Catholicism in China since the 19th century, education has turned out to be one effective instrument for missionary work. Consequently, various missionary schools catalyzed China's modern education, and influenced and even challenged traditional Chinese modes and system of education as western educational concepts were introduced. The case study, based on music education at primary and secondary missionary schools in the region of Shanghai, Hangzhou and Nanjing during the Republic of China, holds positive implications for an objective evaluation of music education in question.
