摘　　要：软新闻英译时常常不遵循传统的翻译理论,而是进行大胆的编译。为了实现更好的信息传播功能,根据功能翻译理论,软新闻英译可以突破传统翻译理论的框架,适当的进行前后调整、增添和删减等。C-E translation of soft news often does not follow the traditional translation theory,but rather a bold adaption.Under the guidance of functionalist approaches,this article describes the translation of soft news and its features.Through the analysis of the characteristics of the C-E translation of soft news propagation,it points out that in order to achieve better information dissemination functions,soft news translation can overcome the limitations of traditional translation theory and make appropriate adjustment,addition and deletion,etc.Functionalist approaches can provide a theoretical basis for these phenomena.
