摘　　要：随着经济全球化浪潮和现代通讯媒体的蓬勃发展,英语逐渐成为世界第一通用语言和中国事实上的第二语言。从语言环境和语言意向角度分析汉语与英语的关系,既可以审视英语在我国的使用现状,也能将汉、英语关系纳入国际视野考量。目前,语言帝国主义、语言人权论、语言资源观和生态语言学观点各有其优势,借鉴各派观点提出的语言关系论框架——和谐共生的科学语言发展观可以从新视角对我国当前的外语教学、社会语用和语言政策方面补充一些建议。With globalization and rapid progress of modern communication and media,English gradually becomes the first universal international language and practically the second language.If the perspective of environment and intention of language is taken to analyze the relation between Chinese and English,the status quo of English in China can be fully elaborated and the global vision well achieved.And with critical views on theories of language imperialism,language as part of humanity,and language as a resource,as well as ecology of language,a harmonious intergrowth of languages is proposed and plausible suggestions on the current foreign language teaching,social language use and language policy are given.
