摘　　要：文明探源就是探索从没有文字到有文字的人类历史。城市、礼仪性建筑、水利建设活动等人类最初的大型公共工程,是文明起源的重要和关键因素,应成为文明探源的重点;早期文字的发现和解读对文明探源意义重大,这些使得文明探源研究具有田野考古性质,而这一性质及其发展前景决定了文明探源工程必须采取多学科、多层次的合作。To explore the origins of civilization is just to explore the unrecorded history of human being.The initial large-scaled public projects,such as city,ceremonial architecture,hydraulic engineering,were always regarded as key factors to the origin and should be attached more attention;the discovery as well as the interpretation of the early characters is of great significance to the origin exploration.All these characterize the project similar to be a Field Archaeology,which combined with the prospects of the project,determines that the project must take the way of multi-disciplinary and multi-level co-operation.
