摘　　要：河南理工大学在百年办学历程中坚持以教学为中心和"育人为本,崇尚学术"的办学理念,建校初始即倡导理论与实践相结合,努力培养近代工矿人才;新中国成立后,重视学生基础知识、基本理论、基本技能的培养,积极培养社会主义新型工程师;新世纪以来,构建了"本科教学新体系",开启了多科性大学人才培养新实践,为国家能源工业和地方经济建设做出了突出贡献。In the past 100 years, leaders of Henan Polytechnic University （HPU, thereafter） have been running HPU in accordance with the concept of ＂ Talent Cultivation - Oriented, Science - Advocated＂. From the very beginning, leaders of HPU emphasized the combination of theory and practice in order to cultivate excellent mining talents; since the foundation of New China, leaders of HPU paid more attentions to students＇ rudimentary knowledge, basic theories and fundamental skills so as to cultivate quali- fied socialist engineers; in 21 st century, ＂ New System for Undergraduate Education＂ becomes a unique feature of HPU, which ushered a new era of talent cultivation especially for our nation＇ s energy industry and local economy.
