摘　　要：孤独意绪是贯穿爱伦·坡小说的基调。它不仅体现在故事人物与世隔绝的生活环境或孤立无援的处境,孤独也充斥了故事主人公的精神世界。爱伦.坡小说中强烈的孤独意识既同作者自己的生命历程息息相关,也有着深刻的社会根源。孤独意识虽然给人一种痛苦的感受,但从美学的角度看,它却是重铸人格、升华艺术精神的激素,反映在文学作品中极易引起读者的共鸣。Loneliness is the dominant mood in Edgar Allan Poe＇s fiction,which is not only represented in the isolated living environment or the helpless state of Poe＇s characters,but also embodied in the spiritual world of the main characters.Poe＇s depiction of loneliness is greatly associated with his life experience and has profound social roots.Despite painfulness,loneliness,though painful,aesthetically remolds the author＇s personality and elevates the artistic spirit,and arouses the universal concern in the readers.
