摘　　要：沈从文是中外知名的文学家、物质文化史专家。《边城》是他的代表作品。现拟从修辞学的角度,试图揭示沈从文《边城》中句式运用的修辞艺术,分析他怎样选择与运用错综句式、反复句式、跳脱句式、释句与反问句的修辞方式,来适应主题、内容、人物、情境的需要。归纳出最主要的句式规律,了解修辞方法和技巧,更好地欣赏原著,作为今天写作的借鉴。Shen Congwen was a nationally known writer and historical expert of material culture. Border Town is his masterpiece. This paper tries to unveil the application in syntax in Border Town from rhetorical angle, and analyze how Shen utilized the rhetorics such as complex sentences, iterativesentences, aposiopesis, paraphrase and rhetorical questions for adaptation of requirement. Moreover it inferred the main syntax rules, and analyzes rhetoric methods and skills to better appreciate the original works and benefit today＇s writing.
