摘 要:如何从中国传统哲学中开出科学知识,是困惑20世纪上半叶中国哲学家的难题之一。贺麟通过对"理"的诠释表达了他对这个问题的回应。贺麟认为,"理"具有"时空"的基本特性,即言其为"自然知识形成的可能的根据、法则和标准",从而为中国传统哲学开出科学知识展开了尝试性的讨论,在事实上启发了我们对于中国传统哲学如何接上知识论的思考。然而,中国传统哲学根深蒂固的道德特性,究竟在什么程度上能够与科学知识接通,却是贺麟释"理"实践所表现出来的深度理论困惑。One of the perplexing problems to Chinese philosophers in the first half of the 20th century was how to extract the concepts of science and knowledge from traditional Chinese Philosophy. Mr. He Lin responded to this conundrum by expounding his views on the reason concept‘Li’afresh. According to his interpretation, ‘Li’possesses basic features of‘time and space’,which can be taken as‘the possible foundations, rules and criteria of natural knowledge’. Thus, his academic views initiated the tentative discussion on the concept of science and knowledge in traditional Chinese philosophy and actually gave us an impetus to reflect on the connection between traditional Chinese philosophy and the theory of knowledge. However, the traditional Chinese philosophy has so deep-rooted moral characteristics, that it still remains as a theoretical bewilderment that to what degree the concept of sciense and knowledge could be merged into traditional Chinese philosophy in his interpretation of‘Li’. That is to say, traditional Chinese philosophy would be a long way for us to go on to the theory of knowledge.
