Objective To discover an effective method of standardized management of community-based care for patients with stroke, and to evaluate its efficiency of application. Methods Totally 202 stroke patients diagnosed were randomly divided as trial group and control group The proposal for standardized management of community-based care was given for patients in the trial group;and was not given for those in the control group. Results The awareness of medical knowledge and the rate of implementing health behavior in the trial group had risen more remarkably than those in the control group(P0.05).The drug expense was evidently reduced, with 53.54% in the trial group whose expense was less than RMB 3 000 yuan,as compared with 76.00% in the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P0.01).And the quality of life had a significant improvement, there was a statistical difference between the two groups in SS-QOL scale(181.50 vs 153.31)(P0.05).Conclusion Implementation of the standardized management of community-based care improves the knowledge, attitude, and behavior of the patients with stroke, reducing their medical bills, and improving their quality of life.It is worth practicing clinically.
