小说《维莱特》中的间接含蓄——论女主人公露西叙事方法的间接含蓄(英文)

摘　　要：在小说《维莱特》中,沉默寡言、间接含蓄、欲言又止是其叙事方法上最为显著的特点。本文从三个方面,即小说开头的间接含蓄、整篇小说的间接含蓄——贯穿整部小说的暗喻、和小说结尾的间接含蓄,来分析其叙事方法上的间接含蓄、欲言又止。由于勃朗特和女主人公露西.斯诺一样,都有着悲惨的经历和充满伤痛的过去,这些伤痛太过惨痛而使人不愿直接提及,所以夏洛蒂.勃朗特才通过女主人公露西.斯诺的叙述,间接含蓄、欲言又止地讲述她的故事。而叙事方法上的间接含蓄、欲言又止正是理解小说《维莱特》的关键。In the novel Villette, reticence is the most prominent features for the way of narration. In this thesis, I will analyze the reticence in the way of narration from three aspects ： reticence in the beginning of the novel, the ＂ control- ling metaphor＂ in Villette, and reticence in the end of the novel. From analysis, we can know that the reason for Charlotte Bronte＇ s reticence was that just like the protagonist Lucy Snowe, her past and sufferings were too painful to narrate, so With reticence Charlotte just shroud sufferings and the painful past in mist. So we can say reticence is the key to understanding the novel ViUette.
