摘　　要：《白鲸》作为美国文学史上的经典作品,因其超前性经历了重新评价和阐释接受过程,同时因其复杂性在接受过程中呈现出不同的接受风貌。从接受美学的观点看,期待视野的历史变迁是《白鲸》的文学价值得以重新认识的前提,而文本的不确定性和空白赋予《白鲸》的开放意义则是该作品与不同时代读者视野融合并产生多重接受的根本原因。Moby Dick,one of the canonical novels in American literature,has experienced a process of frequent reappraisal and reinterpretation since its publication.Because of its insight into the future ahead of time,and its complexity of the plots,the novel has enjoyed a variety of interpretations and reception.This paper argues that in the perspective of reception aesthetics,the historical change of expectation horizon is the premise of the re-evaluation of its literary value,and the openness of the text endowed by indeterminacy and vacancy explains the reasons why the novel can meet the expectation of the readers from different times,and why various attitudes of reception have emerged.
