摘　　要：针对现行生物学教材与教学中误用、混淆代谢速率、强度的问题,提出并倡导用单位时间内底物的减少量或产物的生成量测度代谢反应的速率,如光合速率、呼吸速率;用单位生物量的反应速率测度代谢反应的比速率,即代谢强度,如光合作用强度、呼吸作用强度。According to the misusage and confusion of metabolism rate,intensity in biological textbooks and teaching,the paper pointed out and advocated that metabolism rate,such as photosynthetic rate,respiratory rate,which was defined as the decrement of reactant or the gain of product within unit time.Metabolism intensity,such as photosynthetic intensity,respiratory intensity,which was defined as the metabolism rate per unit biomass,namely,specific metabolism rate.
