摘　　要：语篇语用学作为功能语言学的一种研究范式，关注句法与语篇界面之间的关联和互动，即它运用功能主义的理论和方法，一方面，探求句法结构运作机制和功能的语篇动因；另一方面，反观句法在语篇中的分布规律和功能定位对语篇建构的制约。本文旨在对语篇语用学研究的新成果《荚汉语篇语用学研究》一书的主要内容进行介绍和简评。Discourse pragmatics, as a function-oriented research paradigm, focuses on the interaction between syntax and discourse, i.e., it aims to, on the one hand, explore what discoursal factors motivates the way syntax works and functions, on the other hand, pin down some constraints on the discourse construction by examining the distributian and functions of syntax. This paper is an introduction and brief review of Studies in English and Chinese Discourse Pragmatics.
