摘　　要：编目工作一直是图书馆工作的核心和基础,也是图书馆学研究的重要领域。未来编目员职责范围将发生变化或进一步拓展到新的领域,涉及到元数据编目、数字项目管理及咨询、参考咨询服务、培训和管理工作、书目数据整合处理等新职能。为了适应职业发展要求,编目员需要熟悉和掌握传统编目技能、了解并应用新的技术,同时还要掌握一般的职业技能。Cataloging is the core and basis of library works,is also an important field of the library science study.Future duties of catalogers would be changed or expanded into a new field that includes metadata cataloging,digital project management and reference,reference service,training and management,integration of bibliography,and so on.In order to meet demands of vocational development,catalogers should know and grasp cataloging skill,comprehend and apply new technologies,and master general abilities.
