摘　　要：随着我国对外开放及警务制度改革的不断深入,提高公安学员行业英语口语能力进而全面提升公安民警英语综合应用能力已经成为公安院校面临的重大挑战。提升学员的英语口语应用能力,可借助任务型交际策略为学生创造练习机会和环境来进行公安行业英语口语教学,以满足日益增长的涉外警务需求。With the constant deepening of national opening-up and police system reform,it becomes a real challenge for English teachers from police academies to enhance the students＇ spoken English abilities whose major is public security,which is the key to the enhancement of all-round English proficiency for the police.The article tries to study more viable teaching strategies from the perspective of task-based approach with the aim of improving the students＇ spoken English abilities to satisfy the increasing needs of foreign police affairs.
