缩合关系词在定语从句中的使用

摘　　要：根据缩合关系词what自身包含隐性先行词和关系词的特点,可以将其所引导的名词性从句转化为定语从句,有利于更好的把握和运用名词性从句。将缩合关系词引入定语从句,分析其在引导定语从句时的特点,对传统的语法规则进行拓展,以求达到英语语法教学的目的。Based on the fact that the condensed relative ＂what＂ entails a latent antecedent in addition to a mere relative,the noun clauses introduced by it can be converted into attributive clauses,for the sake of better understanding and use of noun clauses.This paper introduces the concept of ＂Condensed Relative＂ into attributive clauses.By analyzing its characteristics of introducing attributive clauses,this paper breaks the confinement of traditional grammatical rules,catering for practical English grammar teaching.
