摘　　要：实践教学在人才培养中有特殊的重要性,具有不可替代的作用。要全面提高地方高校教学质量,就必须具有较高的实践教学质量;要优化人才培养模式,很重要的渠道是实践教学环节的优化;实践教学是最能够体现人才培养特色。高等工程本科教育应以培养学生工程素质为目标,只有贯彻实施素质教育与能力培养紧密结合的培养模式,才能适应当前社会发展的需要。Practice teaching is of special importance in talent cultivation and couldn＇ t be replaced. The im proved teaching quality in universities depends on the advanced quality of practice teaching; the optimization of the personnel training mode on rationalization of the practical teaching which reflects the talent training charac teristics. The higher engineering education should take cultivating the student′s quality for engineering as the goal; only by integrating quality education and ability training can the present social demand be met.
