摘　　要："冷"不仅作为肌体受到外界温度刺激时的生理感应,更多是作为一种意象表达应用于文本的情感叙述当中。"冷"是感受世态炎凉,再现人物内心活动的线索。张爱玲一反常规,以"冷"意象为介质诠释《半生缘》中的爱情和人生。用弗洛伊德的心理学来分析,文本人物表现出来的"冷"意象,再现了动荡时局下的百态人生和苍凉情感。Instead of serving only as body＇s physiological reaction to the external temperature, coldness serves more as a symbol in expression applied in emotional narration texts. Coldness is a clue to feel the cruel society and to present characters＇ internal activities. Contrary to the common practices, Eileen Chang applies the symbol of coldness as a medium to interpret love and life in her novel Half-a- lifetime Love. Combining Freud＇s psychological analysis, this article explains how the changeable life and painful emotions in warring times are presented with the symbol of Coldness embodied in the novel characters.
