摘 要:针对文坛的"重写"与"重评"茅盾之论,以史为据,历陈茅盾在"五四"新文学革命与新文学建设方面的开拓之功:如组织队伍,开拓阵地与清除"垃圾",翻译评介,理论倡导与建树,文学批评等,他筚路蓝缕,发挥了引领文学主潮,把握先进方向的历史作用,是中国文学现代化进程的中流砥柱。特别在马克思主义文学理论中国化方面开风气之先,具有特别的意义;已初步形成具中国特色与茅盾文学个性特征的理论体系。这一切说明茅盾的文学史地位是以其客观存在的赫赫业绩为支撑的。无视与否定这些,决非尊重历史、尊重事实的实事求是的科学态度。Grounded upon history,the paper introduces Mao Dun's remarkable role in May 4th New Literary Revolution and in the construction of new literature ,such as forming literary groups ,developing positions and clearing up unhealthy literary works ,translating literary reviews, advocating literary theories and attaining new achievements in his own literary theory, and embarking a series of literary criticism. In addition, he arduously plays a dominant part in navigating literature to its mainstream and guiding the correct direction of literary development, thus becoming the backbone of the modernization process of Chinese literature. What is of special significance is his initial attempt to localize the Marxist literary theory in China;in so doing, he has formed his typical theoretical system combining Chinese characteristics with his own personal traits. All this demonstrates that Mao Dun' s status in Chinese literature is strongly sustained by his outstanding performance in Chinese literature. Ignoring and denying these is against the truth - seeking scientific attitude to putting history and facts in perspective.
