摘　　要：本文以美国现实主义作家西奥多.德莱塞的作品《Scarcity and Plenty》及汉译文为例,谈谈英汉翻译在词汇,句法结构,修辞格方面的特点。从而有助于英汉翻译教学及对文学作品的鉴赏力。Translation is a process of communication, which conveys both language knowledge and cultural information. This paper analyzes the Chinese version of Theodore Dreiser＇s Scarcity and Plenty, indicating the unique features in terms of lexicon, syntactic structure and figures of speech among English and Chinese translation. It tends to promote the effect of translation teaching as well as the appreciation of literature works.
