摘 要:The viscosupplementation and kinesitherapeutical program in the spa on the simple of participants with mild to moderate clinical symptoms of radiologically diagnosed primary osteoarthritis (OA) of the knee Ⅱ -Ⅲgrade according to Kellgren was studied. The aim was to verify influence to main simptoms of knee OA - pain, functionality, range of movement (ROM) of the knee and muscle quadriceps strength. Material and methods: The research has been conducted as a longitudinal ten-day experiment with two groups, 23 subjects of both sexes, average 62 years (±7), all of them right-handed. All subjects belonged to the category of average physically active persons for their age. The group 1 (n = 12) included physical therapy (kinesitherapy, hydrogymnastic and marble bath) and viscosupplementation: the group iI (n = 11) took only viscosupplementation. Pre- and posttest measured ROM of the knee and maximal isometric strength of muscle quadriceps, functionality and pain. Initial and final results were tested with paried T-tests and differenecs between groups were compared with T-test for independent samples. Results: Final measurements in both groups indicated a significant reduction of pain (p 1= 0.000, P2= 0.000, p 〈 0.01), improvement in functionality (p1 = 0.000, P2- 0.002: p 〈 0,01) and ROM of the knee (left, p 〈 0.01); (right, p 〈 0.05). Increase of muscle strength was significant in the group that practiced (p 〈 0.05). while the increase of muscle strength was not recorded in the group that took only a supplement (p 〉 0.05). Conclusion: Use of viscosupplementation and kinesitherapy had a positive effect on decrease of knee OA symptoms of mild and moderate grade. Simultaneous combined use of this treatments achive a better results. Results of this study are suggesting to regularly applying viscosupplementation with kinesitherapy.
