摘　　要：冲突话语是一种常见却又相当复杂的动态语言现象,近年来的相关研究方兴未艾,但冲突话语的引发与回应却未得到应有的关注和语用阐释。本研究主要以《红楼梦》中的冲突回应为分析对象,基于Brown & Levinson的面子威胁论框架,探析人际冲突中非攻击性话语引发的冲突回应,揭示人际冲突的语言表现及语用理据。Conflicting utterance is a common but complex interactional phenomenon, about which recent literature can be found, but its initiation and responses have not attracted much attention for research. This paper is a pragmatic study of conflicting responses to non-aggressive speech in interpersonal interaction on the basis of the collected data from the ancient Chinese novel A Dream of Red Mansions within Brown and Levinson＇ s theoretical framework of Face-Threatening Acts. It then offers an account of the pragmatic motivations of conflicting resoonses in this context.
