摘　　要：分析了福斯特在《霍华德庄园》中所表现的乡愁。霍华德庄园象征了传统的英格兰,它的留存象征了传统英格兰的连续性。霍华德庄园在承载了露丝.威尔考克斯的乡情的同时,也承载了福斯特本人的乡情。Abstract：The thesis analyses the nostalgia manifested in Howards End written by E. M. Forster. The author points out that Howards End symbolizes the traditional England. Its existence symbolizes the continuity of the traditional England. At last it is pointed out that Howards End not only carries Ruth Wilcox＇s nostalgia, but E.M. Forster＇ s.
