摘 要:EPAS(Enlisted Personnel Allocation System)是美军新开发的军人选拔分配系统。 The purpose of this paper is to introduce a person-job-match method in the military domain, the Enlisted Personnel Allocation System(EPAS). EPAS is the a latest classification methodology that optimally allocates recruits to jobs so as to maximize the predicted performance of an accession cohort whilemeeting military job fill, distribution, and timing requirements, and can significantly improve the military personnel classification with a linear programming optimization software program. This article providesa brief history of EPAS, describes how it enhances the effectiveness of classification, then discusses how to develop and comprise a classification system for the People's Liberation Army (PLA) by taking reference from it. Classification is the process of assigning new enlisted personnel to initial job training in the Army. Unlike selection, classification brings the job to the right man. U. S. Army's classification system is based on a long history of research. Shortly after World War I1, the U.S. Army started investigations of improved methods for classification. However, significant and exalting research strides in the classification area have just been made recently and have yet to be tested out in the Army's operations. It is worth noting that Project A and Project B conducted over the 1980s made huge contributions to classification theory improvement. The PC prototype of EPAS development began in the fall of 1993 and was largely completed by the spring of 1997. A fruitfid field test evaluation which was conducted over 2001 - 2003 will be transparent to army applicants and career counselors. The U. S. Army currently takes a minimum enlistment standard approach to classification: identifying high priority Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) for which the soldiers meet the minimum Aptitude Area composite score qualifications. EPAS attempts to go beyond this and make a better use of each recruit' s potential. Through Aptitude Area scores and demographic category profiles, EPAS divi
