摘　　要：美国著名诗人埃德加·爱伦.坡在其短暂而多舛的一生中共有四部诗集问世,其早期诗歌用细腻的笔触刻画了现实与理想的冲突,宣泄了作者对现实生活的愤懑和愤世嫉俗的逃避情绪,以此来保护自己受伤的自尊;在其后两部诗集中,为了彰显永恒不朽的神圣美,死亡和梦幻频繁地交织地出现在其诗作中,表达了诗人的唯美主义审美情趣。爱伦.坡还对自己和一些著名诗人的诗歌创作进行深入系统研究,并提出了独树一帜的诗学理论,为美国乃至世界许多国家的诗歌创作和诗歌理论的发展做出了贡献。Edgar Allan Poe, a great American poet, finished four collections of poems within his short and precarious life. In his early poems, Poe subtly elaborated the conflicts between reality and ideal, his strong resentment against real life and cynical attitude of escaping emotion, to protect his injured pride. In order to manifest eternal beauty, deaths and dreams are fre- quently displayed in his later two collections of poems, from which his aesthetic interest can be sensed. After having reflected upon his own poem creation and studied some famous poets＇ poems, Poe proposed unique poetic theories, making remarkable contributions to the development of poetry and poetics not only in America but also in many other countries in the world.
