叙事语篇时间域的转换与英译——兼评《红楼梦》的两个英译本

摘　　要：本文从叙事学和语言学的角度,对叙事语篇空间化的时间结构进行分析研究,并通过《红楼梦》与其两个英译本的对照,就语篇时间结构内部各时间域的构建及转换在英汉语中的语言标记进行比较,旨在透过语言形式确定语篇层次化时间的发展路径及其语篇组织功能,从而在汉英翻译中重构源语语篇的时间系统。This paper discusses spatialization of time in narrative discourse from the perspective of linguistics and narratology via a comparative study of the two English versions of A Dream of Red Mansions by D.Hawkes and Yang HsienYi,respectively,concerning their manifestation of different temporal domains and shifting from one to another in linguistic devices.The goal of our discussion is to find out how this spatialized time progression as well as its coherence function is interpreted in diverse linguistic forms and patterns in Chinese and English so that the temporal structure can be restructured properly in a target text.
