课外泛读与英语专业学生词汇发展的关系研究

摘  要:词汇在语言交际中具有重要的地位,而掌握足够的词汇对于英语专业学生来说是一个难点。通过对英语专业学生进行历时三个学期的课外泛读训练,结果发现,课外阅读英文小说可以帮助英语专业学生更好地巩固所学知识,习得更多的伴随性词汇,同时也能提高学生的阅读能力。课外泛读是英语专业学生学习词汇的最优途径。The vocabulary plays an important part in language communications and it is difficult for English majors to master enough vocabulary.By means of three-semester training of English majors in extensive reading,it has been found out that reading English novels after class can not only help English majors better consolidate the vocabulary they have learnt and acquire more incidental vocabulary,but also improve students' reading ability.Consequently,extra-curricular extensive reading is an effective way for English majors to study vocabulary.
