Objective:To investigate Bcl-2 and Bax expression and its relation with the number of T and B lymphocytes in the patients with chronic hepatitis B.Methods-By using immunohistochemical technology,Bcl-2 and Bax positive cells were detected in 57 liver- aspiration-biopsy-specimens from chronic HBV infective patients and 20 normal liver-surgical-specimens from hepatic haemangioma patients. At the same time,CDJ and CD20 immunohistochemical staining was performed, the number of T and B lymphocytes was calculated and Bel-2 and Bax expressions were compared. Positive staining cells were counted and analyzed by pathological image instrument system. Results:With the increasing of hepatitis inflammatory activity and fibrosis,Bcl-2 and Bax expressions were increased, while T,B lymphocyte counting also was increased, the numbers were respectively and significantly more than those of normal liver tissue (P〈0.01). Conclusion:Bcl-2 and Bax expressions are related to the changes of T,B lymphocytes and affect the inflammatory activity and fibrosis degree of chronic hepatitis B.
