摘　　要：近现代的文白之争是中国历史上重大的文化事件。就语言发展的方向来看,近代文白之争的对错是容易判定的;而就其所牵涉到的文化、民族传统和语言内部的矛盾运动等方面看,其对错又不是截然分明的。理解这一点,有助于我们对近现代白话文运动和运动中的革新与守旧两派有一个更为深入的认识。The debate of classical Chinese and vernacular Chinese in modern times is an important culture event.Concerning the developing direction of a language,the right and wrong in the debate can be easily decided;concerning the culture,national tradition,and the contradiction in the language it involves,to judge the right and wrong has some difficulties.With this,we can have a more thorough understanding to the movement of vernacular Chinese,the reformers and as well as the conservatives of the movement in modern times.
