摘　　要：文章以Young Yun Kim(2002)对跨文化交际能力提出的跨文化交际能力模型为基础,借鉴高一虹(2002)关于跨文化交际"超越能力培养"的观点,尝试构建着重在意识、态度和情感层面上培养学生跨文化交际能力的教学新模式,为跨文化交际课程的进一步发展提供新的理念和操作模式。This paper explicates the design of a new teaching model for intercultural communication competence development with a focus on increasing students＇ intercultural awareness, intercultural sensitivity and intercultural adroitness. The design is based on studies done by Young Yun Kim （2001） and Chen Guoming （2005） on intercultural communication competence development and furthermore, incorporates Gao Yihong＇ s （2002） concept of ＂going beyond culture＂. The teaching contents embedded in the model and the pedagogical approach to teaching them in classroom are illustrated.
