摘　　要：不同民族语言中丰富多彩的习语反映了博大精深的世界文化。文化与语言之间千丝万缕的联系对习语产生了深远影响,中西文化的相似性使习语翻译过程轻松有效,而文化差异则会加大翻译难度。翻译中需准确把握宗教、地理、风俗与成语涵义及表述的关系,进行文化对比处理,追溯核心语义,找到对应的译入语,力求达到"信实、通达、雅致"。Varied idioms of different peoples which reflect the extensive and profound civilization in the world are greatly influenced by the strong connection between culture and language.The similarity between Chinese and western culture makes the idiom translation easier while the difference makes it harder.To realize ＂faithfulness＂,＂expressiveness＂ and ＂elegance＂,translators should do the cultural comparison in respects of religion,geology and customs,and put the core meaning into closest natural equivalent of the target language.
