摘　　要：想要掌握一门语言当然不能只靠从字典里学习词汇。但是利用好词典的确能对英语学习,尤其是对高等教育中的成人英语学习有很大帮助。基于心理语言学的研究,本文分析了认知的功能性和英语词典在成人英语学习中的具体应用。It is impossible to acquire a language by merely learning words in dictionaries,but proper utilizing of dictionaries is of great help to English learning,especially adult English.Based on the study on psychological linguistics,this paper analyzes the concrete application of cognitive function and English dictionaries in adult English learning.
